Veneers costs

Veneers are wafer-thin coverings for the teeth. They are permanently attached to the front of your teeth for a more beautiful and natural smile. They are often made of ceramic or composite. Individual teeth or the entire dentition can be treated.

Depending on the material and the number of veneers, you will have to pay different costs.

How much do veneers cost?

Veneers are usually applied in two sessions. With pre- and post-treatment consultations, the treatment usually comprises four to five sessions in total. How much the veneers cost depends mainly on the following points:

However, the prices of veneers are not only made by these factors. In addition, the costs for treatment vary depending on the location. In large cities like Berlin, Stuttgart or Dortmund, it is more expensive to get a Hollywood smile than in the countryside. However, it should be emphasised again at this point that every dentist can determine his or her prices individually.Every patient needs different treatment and therefore the price can vary from patient to patient, but the average cost of veneers is between 350 and 1000 euros per tooth. In addition, some dentists also offer an installment plan for veneers.

The following prices are only a guide and apply per tooth depending on the type of veneers:

Veneers do not only differ in terms of their prices. but also in their material and durability.Ceramic (or so-called porcelain) veneers are more stable than composite veneers. They are therefore particularly advised if you want to have several teeth treated.

Dr. Kiziler

“Plastic veneers don’t last as long and don’t look as good as ceramic. With ceramic, thedental technician can layer the veneer better.” – Muhammed Ferit Kiziler, dentist, founder of Inno-Esthetics & specialist in veneers

Although ceramic veneers also have to be replaced at some point, they last up to 20 years due to their high quality. However, ceramic does not always mean quality. The quality is related to the production and processing in the laboratory. There, dental technicians individually fit the veneers to the patient’s needs. The more highly qualified the dental technicians are, the higher the price.

Veneers-to-go are particularly cheap because they are standard veneers that arenot customised to the patient. This type of veneer is not suitable for everyone and is only offered by some dentists.

Non-prep veneers (e.g. Lumineers) are characterised by their low thickness, which makes them look particularly natural. The actual tooth hardly needs pre-treatment, so the treatment itself can potentially be reversed. However, due to their thinness, they are not as durable and resilient as ceramic veneers.

Our prices at Innodentum

A veneer costs 1.500 € per tooth. In our laboratory, the perfect veneers are individually fitted with the highest quality. In a total of five sessions, we take full care of your needs.

Veneers costs abroad

You can save costs when you have your treatment abroad (e.g. in Turkey). Often, organizers entice you with all-inclusive offers that already include all treatment and additional costs. At first glance, this is a good offer. However, you should be aware of the risks of treatment abroad.

The quality of the material and the treatment is much more important than the price of veneers. Pre-treatment and post-treatment consultations cannot be attended when the treatment is carried out abroad, which may cause negative consequences. There is a risk that these important aspects are neglected because there is not enough time for them. Of course, there are qualified doctors abroad, but finding them and getting a cheaper price with travel to and from the country can be a challenge, especially if you do not need a full set of veneers.

Furthermore, not only good doctors are important, but also good dental technicians. Dental technology from Germany enjoys a very good reputation internationally and stands for high quality. The “Made in Germany” quality is unfortunately not available for a cheap rate.

Advantages of treatment abroad

Disadvantages of treatment abroad

The German Dental Association (BZÄK) cannot provide any current studies on the quality of treatment abroad. Patients are therefore on their own and must assess the quality of dental treatment, including the materials used, by themselves with the help of comparison portals.

Do health insurance companies cover the costs of veneers?

Whether statutory health insurances cover the costs depends mainly on whether it is a medical necessity or the treatment is done for purely aesthetic reasons. In justified exceptional cases, partial or full coverage of the veneer treatment may be possible.

Reasons for coverage can be:

Nevertheless, these reasons are no guarantee for coverage if they can be treated just as well with a crown. Each health insurance company, therefore, checks individually whether there is a medical necessity or not.

However, after an individual consultation with supplementary insurance or as a private patient, there are some possibilities.

Does supplementary dental insurance cover veneers?

Do you have supplemental dental insurance? If so, you may be wondering if your insurance will cover the cost of veneers.

Unfortunately, most supplementary dental insurances do not cover the costs of veneers. Just like with the statutory health insurance. The reason is that they are considered cosmetic and are not necessary for the health of the teeth. However, there are some exceptions.

Some dental insurance plans may cover the cost of veneers if they are deemed medically necessary. This means, for example, that veneers are required to correct dental problems, otherwise oral health will be compromised. It also includes treatments to preserve the tooth structure.

For example, if you have chipped or cracked teeth, veneers may be covered by your dental insurance. If you have gaps between your teeth, veneers can also be an option.

It is important that you first check with your dental insurance company to see if they will cover the cost of veneers. This way you can be sure that the cost of the procedure will be covered.

The cost of veneers varies depending on the type of material used and the number of veneers needed. Porcelain veneers are usually more expensive than composite veneers. The average cost of porcelain veneers is 1,000€-2,500€ per tooth.

No, most health insurance companies do not cover the cost of veneers. Veneers are considered a cosmetic procedure and as such are not usually covered by health insurance. If you’re considering veneers, you’ll likely have to pay for the procedure out of pocket. However, there are some dental financing options that make the cost of veneers more affordable. Talk to your dentist about payment options before scheduling an appointment for the procedure.

In our Inno Esthetics practice we offer you the possibility of payment by installments. This is offered with a term of up to 72 months through an external service provider, with 24 months interest-free.

If you decide to have veneers treatment abroad, you should be 100% sure before having the procedure done. Finally, you should keep in mind that veneers can sometimes be of lower quality than in Germany. So can look fake or “plastic”. Often patients come to us who are dissatisfied with their veneers from abroad or even have pain.
